Cardmembers may opt to convert their outstanding balances (Conventional) /outstanding principal balances (Islamic) to instalment plan through the Credit Card Balance Conversion Programme (CCBC).
In addition to this, cardmembers may also apply for 6 months’ moratorium on their credit card/-i balances (Conventional) /outstanding principal balances (Islamic) that have been converted into CCBC.

The Credit Card Balance Conversion Programme (CCBC) helps reduce cash flow difficulties faced by individual cardmembers during this challenging time
CCBC enables cardmembers to convert the outstanding balances (Conventional) /outstanding principal balances (Islamic) into regular monthly instalments. If your outstanding statement balances (Conventional) /outstanding statement principal balances (Islamic) meets a minimum amount of RM1,000, it is eligible to be converted into an instalment plan of up to 3 years at an effective rate of 13% per annum.
The CCBC is available through application only.
You are eligible to apply if you fulfil the following criteria:
- Minimum credit card/-i statement outstanding balances (Conventional) /outstanding principal balances (Islamic) of RM1,000; AND
- your credit card/-i is in arrears for less than 90 days.

Please note that the conversion under CCBC is allowed only once for each credit card/-i under the current PEMULIH Repayment / Payment Assistance programme.
You are not eligible to convert your credit card/-i balances (Conventional) /outstanding principal balances (Islamic) to CCBC if your account is in arrears exceeding 90 days. Instead, you may contact 03-27763111 to arrange for credit card/-i payment assistance.
You may continue to pay to your credit card/-i as usual. No other action is required.
Yes, you can continue to use the credit card/-i up to the remaining credit limit after taking into account the balance converted into CCBC. The outstanding balances (Conventional) /outstanding principal balances (Islamic) converted into CCBC is treated as part of the credit card/-i limit. In addition, the monthly CCBC instalments form part of the minimum monthly payment amount for your credit card/-i.

You may settle the CCBC at any time without any early termination fee. However, please note that you will be charged the total amount outstanding upon settlement, which includes the outstanding principal and interest/the actual management fee as final payment.

Effective Interest Rate/Actual Management Fee - interest/actual management fee payments based on the remaining outstanding balances (Conventional) / outstanding balances principal (Islamic) at the end of each term and works on computing interest /actual management fee on a reducing balance basis.
Flat Interest Rate /Actual Management Fee - interest / actual management fee payments based on the initial original principal.
Yes, you are eligible to convert your current credit card/-i outstanding balances (Conventional) /outstanding principal balances (Islamic) into CCBC. Please refer to Question 4.
Note: The current credit card/-i outstanding balances (Conventional) /outstanding principal balances (Islamic) only includes any instalment balances that are reflected in your statement at the point of application.
Upon successful conversion into the CCBC Programme, the instalment will be reflected in your next credit card/-i statement. For example, if your credit card/-i statement date is 5th August 2021 and the balance conversion is on 10th August 2021, your first instalment will be reflected in your 5th September 2021 statement.
An SMS notification will be sent to you within 2 days upon successful conversion.
Upon cancellation of your credit card/-i, your CCBC will be terminated and you will have to pay the total outstanding principal in full which includes the outstanding principal and interest/actual management fee as final payment.
No, as long as the minimum payment continues to be paid by the relevant due date. However if your credit card/-i is already non-performing (in arrears for more than 90 days), this will continue to be reflected in your CCRIS record.
The conversion into CCBC applies only to the outstanding balances (Conventional) /outstanding principal balances (Islamic) that are already billed into your credit card/-i account at the CCBC application date. This excludes unbilled instalment amounts.
For example:

Total balance on credit card/-i as at CCBC application date: RM5,000
Treatment: The RM5,000 will be converted to CCBC -
Charges to credit card/-i after CCBC application date: RM2,000
Treatment: The RM2,000 will not be converted into CCBC and these new balances on the credit card/-i need to be paid accordingly -
Monthly standing instructions that are not yet billed to the credit card/-i at the CCBC
application date: RM1,000 each month
Treatment: The RM1,000 recurring monthly charges that are not billed to the card will not be converted into CCBC. These new balances on the credit card/-i need to be paid accordingly
Yes, please continue to pay at least the minimum payment due for all outstanding balances (Conventional) /outstanding principal balances (Islamic) billed to your credit card/i. Any unpaid minimum payments in this scenario will affect your CCRIS rating.
Yes, after your credit card/-i outstanding balances (Conventional) /outstanding principal balances (Islamic) are converted to CCBC, you may obtain additional assistance by applying for 6 months’ moratorium on your CCBC.

No, it will not be affected.
In this situation, please contact us at 03-2776 3111 for a customized payment assistance solution for the portion of your card/-i outstanding balances (Conventional) /outstanding principal balances (Islamic) that are not under CCBC.
Please refer to Question 17 on applying for 6 months’ moratorium on your CCBC.
