Introducing the first in the Malaysian market, a new innovative Islamic trade financing solution for purchases and sales based on a new product structure combining Shariah concepts of Wakalah and Istijrar.
Trade Solutions-i offers business customers a simplified banking journey with less documentation upon approval and utilization of the facility. Through this new offering, goods in the trade transaction itself are recognized as the underlying asset and this removes the need to undertake Commodity Trading to complete the transaction as required by other Islamic finance instruments based on more common Shariah concepts.
TS-i is a financing product to finance trade transactions denominated in Ringgit or foreign currency. It is structured to facilitate the financing of trade related purchase of semi-finished or finish goods between Bank’s customer and customer supplier(s).
Shariah concepts for TS-i as follows:

Any other local and foreign trade transactions that cannot be financed under the normal Islamic trade instruments.

This financing is under Shariah contract of Commodity Murabahah.

It is available for both importer and exporter to finance trade transactions conducted at sight or usance payment terms
