Credit Application

Identity theft occurs when someone uses your personal identifiable information to commit fraudulent acts such as:

  • Withdrawing money from your bank account
  • Opening new credit cards
  • Applying for loans or even securing employment

What are the most common signs of identity theft:

  • Unauthorised withdrawals from your bank account.
  • Suspicious charges on your accounts.
  • New accounts or loans you did not apply.
If you suspect that your identity has been compromised, please call RHB Customer Contact Centre at 03‑9206‑8118 or email to customer.service@rhbgroup.com immediately.
DISPOSE your old credit card statements, receipts, etc., to prevent scammers from obtaining your information and creating accounts in your name.
  • BE CAREFUL when sharing your personal information online. Just because a website is asking for your information, it does not mean it is necessary to provide it to them.
  • STAY ALERT when clicking on links and opening email attachments. Do not open the link or attachment if it is from someone you do not know.
  • USE SECURE WI-FI when shopping or doing banking online to make sure you are using a secured wireless connection.
  • PERMANENTLY DELETE ALL FILES. Moving your files into the recycle bin is still not safe. The files still reside in your device and are easily accessible by identity thieves. Use a security software that includes a digital shredder to ensure those files are completely wiped off your devices.
  • INSTALL SECURITY SOFTWARE to ensure all your personal devices have the necessary comprehensive security to protect you from threats.
