Secure Plus

RHB Secure Plus is a feature that keeps your transactions safe as you can perform authorised transaction of any amount as determined by the Bank from time to time.

Upon successful registration and activation of RHB Secure Plus, you'll receive push notifications on the app to your authorised mobile device. You can then review the transaction details and proceed to authorise the transaction.

To activate Secure Plus, follow the steps below:

 

Step 1: Link your device via RHB Mobile Banking App

  1. Ensure you have the latest version of the app
  2. Launch the app
  3. Login with your Username/Password
  4. Link your device and follow the instruction on the screen to complete the device linking process
  5. Once you've completed linking your device, you'll be asked to activate your Secure Plus via RHB ATM

 

Step 2: Activate Secure Plus at RHB ATM

  1. Visit any nearest RHB ATM
  2. Insert your card and key in your PIN
  3. On the Main Menu, select Activate Secure Plus
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your activation
  5. Once activated, you'll have to wait for 12 hours (cooling-off period) before you can perform any online transactions.
No, it can only be activated on one authorised device at a time.

Yes you do. If you've changed your device, you'll need to unlink your previous device and then link the new device. You can do this by selecting Settings > Authorised Device > Remove Device. You can also call Customer Contact Centre if you don't have your previously linked device with you.

 

Once the previously linked device is successfully removed, you'll be able to link your new device. After linking your new device, you'll need to activate Secure Plus via RHB ATM and serve the 12-hour cooling-off period before you can perform any transactions safely.

Yes, you can. Just call Customer Contact Centre first to unlink your previous device and then activate Secure Plus on your new authorised device.
Unlink your previous device via Settings > Security > Authorised Device > Remove Device or by calling Customer Contact Centre.
Just log in to the RHB Mobile Banking App and go to Settings > Security > Authorised Device.
It adds extra security to ensure only you can authorise transactions. Your PIN keeps Secure Plus activation safe from unauthorised access. Please remember to keep your PIN confidential.
Effective 21 September 2024, all new users and those changing devices must activate Secure Plus at RHB ATMs, per Bank Negara Malaysia’s regulations.
No, you can continue approving transactions as usual until switching to a new device from 21 September 2024.
Yes, you need to relink the device and register for Secure Plus again. However, you won't need to reactivate it at the ATM or wait 12 hours, as Secure Plus was previously activated on the same device.

To change devices, first unlink the your current device via Settings > Security > Authorised Device > Remove Device or call our Customer Contact Centre.

 

Once removed, link your new device, activate Secure Plus at the ATM and wait for a 12-hour cooling-off period before transacting.

If you miss this 30-day activation period, you'll need to log in and relink your device.

 

We'll send a reminder 2 days before the 30-day activation period ends.

After activating Secure Plus at the ATM, the screen will confirm successful activation and notify you of the 12-hour cooling-off period. You’ll also receive SMS, email, and push notifications. Check your RHB Mobile Banking app for a message about the cooling-off period.
The 12-hour cooling-off period is to protect your account from any unauthorised changes or fraudulent activities.
Call our Customer Contact Centre for further assistance.
No worries, during the cooling-off period, the ATM won't reactivate Secure Plus and will simply indicate there's nothing to activate.

If you registered for Secure Plus before 21 September 2024 and are serving the 12-hour cooling-off period, you don't need to activate it at the RHB ATM. Just wait for the cooling-off period to end and continue with your transactions.

 

Starting 21 September 2024, Secure Plus activation at the RHB ATM is required only for new users or those changing devices.

You can use your RHB Debit/Credit Cards to activate Secure Plus at the ATM, preferably the one registered with RHB Online Banking. All RHB cards are accepted except Corporate MyDebit cards.

 

Please keep your card PIN confidential to prevent unauthorised Secure Plus activation.

Yes, if the 12-hour cooling-off period isn't completed, Secure Plus activation fails. You must relink your device and activate Secure Plus at an RHB ATM.

 

Please don't unlink your device or uninstall the app during the cooling-off period.

You'll receive a pop-up message via push notification or RHB Secure Plus icon and you'll need to approve the transaction within 60 seconds.

Perform a transaction to receive an RHB Secure Plus notification on your device and tap the notification to approve or reject the transaction.

 

If you didn't receive the notification, go to the pre-login screen and tap on RHB Secure Plus icon to approve or reject the transaction.

You'll need to submit another request as your transaction will expire after 60 seconds.
You don't need to authorise payments to your Favourite Individual, Biller, or Top-Up recipient. You're only required to authorise payments to non-Favourites.
To approve or reject payments on the RHB Mobile Banking App, you're required to link your device as your authorised device and register for RHB Secure Plus.
